NEW FOR AUTUMN 2018!
When the Hicksburg bank is robbed there’s only one person smart enough to find the missing cash—the Half Pint Kid. Join him as he sets out on a trail of mathematical clues and skulduggery. Help him as he fights The Tumbleweed Gang and find out who’s really behind the missing money.
The Half-Pint Kid is an exciting tale of mathematical mayhem and dirty dealings and can be booked at three levels:
For Key Stage 1 we use a number square to look at number patterns, explore mental methods for addition and subtraction, use number bonds and introduce fractions.
For Lower Key Stage 2 we look at the column method for simple addition, subtraction and multiplication, we add and subtract fractions with the same denominator and introduce decimals.
For Upper Key Stage 2 we build on the above with more complex calculations and add long multiplication, we add and subtract fractions with different denominators and also multiply fractions as well as converting decimals and percentages into fractions and vice versa.
Touring the UK from mid/late September with a Northern Ireland tour the week of 22nd October.
