A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Our production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream has enjoyed a fantastic response from audiences all over the country and, presented in our inimitable Quantum style, is fast paced, highly energetic, interlaced with live music and of course, being one of Shakespeare’s best loved comedies, it’s rip-roaringly funny!

“I wanted to write and say what a triumph yesterday’s performance was and ask that you pass on our thanks to the performers. The production was very slick and the students loved the pace and humour; the performance provided just the right mix of slapstick and fun and the soundtrack went down a storm. I would unreservedly recommend your company to other schools as a wonderful way for students to access the text and watch it come to life and would be grateful if you would let me know your plans next year.” Head of English, Ballard School Hampshire.
“I am a Drama teacher at Burntwood School, Tooting. I am writing to express my congratulations and thanks to your amazing actors and production team for the performance of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” that we saw yesterday with our Year 8s. The energy, inventiveness and versatility that the performers demonstrated in telling the story was a pleasure to witness for both staff and students. Please pass our our heartfelt thanks.” – Burntwood School, London SW17
“A big compliment for Sunday’s performance. It reflects how we all felt – a magic evening.” Pam Edwards – Chair, East Barnet Community Festival
“dear all, your performance yesterday in victoria park, crewe, was my first-ever live shakespeare. you did something years of education hadn’t done – brought shakespeare to life and made it funny. your company achieved so much with so few props and technical assistance, with dynamic acting. thank you very much,”
“We have just seen your Midsummer Night’s Dream. . . it was amazing! It was difficult to believe that there were only 5 actors, and every performance never faltered. I have seen this play at least five times but did not imagine I would be so entertained from beginning to end. I will definitely be looking out for more of your performances.”
“Dear Midsummer Night’s Dream players, I thanked you in person after the show, but needed to put it down in writing. It was a dream of a production, the best I’ve seen, made my holiday complete. I was amazed at your quick changes, all the running around and Puck disappearing down into the stage. I could rave on for ages, hope to see Quantum Theatre again soon. Thank you ALL!”
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for a most enjoyable time spent watching your excellent portrayal of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Rhosygilwen this evening. i have seen a good many Shakespeare productions over the years, some good, some bad and some totally impenetrable, but this evening’s performance was refreshingly accessible and dare i say ‘human’ in its telling; played, i would say, as it was meant to be played, in an open and friendly manor, packed with humour and feeling and warmth; the impression being that the players were revelling in their parts without the encumbrance of ego or pretentiousness – story telling at its best. Very well done and very many thanks from west wales :-)”
“Just wanted to send a message to say how fantastic the performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream was at Newtownabbey in Northern Ireland last night. Despite the awful weather, the incredible cast of just 5 managed to raise that play to a level I’ve never seen before. Hugely enjoyable, seriously funny and full of so many clever tricks and ideas. It was so good, my friend and I (amongst the many) didn’t even notice the rain! To see the play performed that way, with such enthusiasm, love for the language and absolutely ingenuity of production would make Shakespeare very proud. That play just came alive.!“
“I just wanted to say that last Saturday’s performance of Midsummer Night’s Dream was amazing. The actors did a fantastic job, weather
notwithstanding and we had a fabulous time. One of my favourite Shakespeare plays brought to life. I look forward to seeing performances by the company again. Ten out of ten!”
“Please accept my appreciation of your performance of the above at Congleton Park in Cheshire on 15th August. The evening was a joy, full of fun and vitality.”
“Just wanted to say how much I, and my family, really enjoyed ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at Wick Country Park on
Saturday evening of 1st August 2009. Unfortunately, the weather was pretty terrible but the cast were an absolute ray of sunshine in the midst of a gloomy night.”
“we have just seen your performance of A Midsummers Nights Dream at Waterperry – it was amazing! It was difficult to believe that there were only 5 actors and the speed at which they changed, and adaped to their various roles was dizzying!”
