Last year we produced a brand new adaptation of the classic tale by ETA Hoffman of The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. It’s a charming tale of Marie’s love for her Nutcracker and the magical adventures she has with him in a wonderful new adaptation by Michael Whitmore.

It proved to be very popular so it’s coming back this year, touring from the middle of November 2018 to mid-January so feel free to email us with some suggested dates for a visit to your school.

When their godfather, the inventor Dr Drosselmeyer, brings the Stahlbaum family a Christmas present Marie is captivated by the little nut cracker.  But after everyone has gone to bed, with the chiming of the grandfather clock strange things begin to happen…

Mice pour up from beneath the floorboards lead by the monstrous Mouse King and the dolls in the cabinet spring to life and begin to move.  Harnessing his toy troops, the Nutcracker, leads them into battle… But will they win through? And can the evil curse on the Nutcracker be broken?
