| Melvin
doesn't know anything about electricity
and doesn't care as long as he's got the telly and the deep fat fryer.
So when the telly refuses to work anymore and all the other electrical
appliances grind to a halt Melvin is in for a bit of a 'shock'. Join
our unenlightened hero on his voyage of discovery. Meet the Trons, Fizz
and Wizz. Battle with the UNDERCURRENT RESISTANCE and help Melvin to
see the light. |

Quirks in the Works is based on Attainment Target 4 of the National Curriculum for Science and is a fast and fantastical journey though an electrical circuit. Educational elements are combined with pacey, humorous musical theatre in Quantum's characteristic style. |
| In the Key Stage 1 version we demonstrate a simple circuit, explore gaps in a wire, use a switch and discuss the dangers of electricity. Teachers' Notes. | |
| In the Key Stage 2 version we build on this, and explore a parallel circuit, introduce conductors and insulators and the idea of resistance. Teachers' Notes. |
| Running
