“It’s amazing how much better you feel for a bit of exercise. Not that I was always like that… In the old days it used to be a stretch just reaching for the remote and as for food, my idea of a balanced diet was a burger in either hand! That was before we had this Walk to School Week. Suddenly I realised that there was another way. And when it came to Sports Day, I was never going to be the best runner in the school, but I certainly gave it my ‘Personal Best’!”

Join Charlie on her journey of enlightenment! See the value of a balance diet and the five a day challenge. Find out what’s lurking in the small print and do a snack swap. Reintroduce yourself to a school dinner and make your lunch box healthier. See the value of exercise and find out how the heart works. Learn how a healthy life-style affects your pulse rate and cut down on your sugar, salt and fat intake. And if you can do all this while those around are eating trash- you’ll be healthy my son!

Personal Best, which explores how to improve our fitness and diet, is available at two levels for either an Infant (4-7 yrs) or a junior (7-11 yrs) audience. For Summer 2018 we’ll also be bringing in references to The World Cup.
