Twelfth Night Shipwrecked on the shores of Ilyria and believing her brother to be dead our heroine, Viola, disguises herself as a page boy to work for Orsino, the local Duke, who is awash with unrequited love for Lady Olivia. All manner of comic mix-ups over mistaken identities ensue, whilst below stairs plots involving yellow stockings are afoot to take the pompous Malvolio down a peg or two ………. Quantum Theatre presents a brand
new production of Shakespeare's wonderfully merry play of love and
deception, of disguises and madness, and the extraordinary things
that love will cause us to see-and do! Available in schools from June 2011 This 2 hour production of 'Twelfth Night' can be performed in any venue with a performing area of 20' x 20', indoors or out! The
production supports the 'Drama' section of the English curriculum
and ties in with clasroom work on: |

Quantum Theatre - about the company Quantum Theatre produces and tours original work and adaptations of the classics into theatres, schools and outdoor venues throughout the UK and Ireland. All of our work is written (or adapted) and produced by the artistic director, Michael Whitmore who has evolved Quantum's now characteristic style; pacey, humorous musical theatre accessible to all ages whether it be Michael's own plays or his adaptations of the classics such as Shakespeare and Dickens. In recent years Quantum has staged the much-loved classic 'Treasure Island', that favourite flight of fancy 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', the fantastical family favourite 'Álice Through the Looking Glass' and now the Dickens classic 'Great Expectations'. All the shows provide a fun, dramatic and magical couple of hours for their audiences, with humour, grit and live music to delight and entertain. This coming Summer (2011)
sees the return of 'Great Expectations' as well as our brand new adaptation
of Twelfth Night and we look forward to captivating our audience members
once more with both productions. |
